Loan fee fraud 

If you have been looking for a loan online, beware of companies that contact you offering you a loan for an upfront fee. It is likely that you'll pay that fee but not receive the loan you requested. To help protect yourself from such scams, you can verify the company is registered with the FCA. Look out for red flags such as being asked to pay through unusual methods like a wire transfer or into a personal bank account. Some companies may even falsely claim that the fee is refundable.
